Want to Contribute?

One of the main objectives of ImagiNAILtion is to showcase the work of as many highly skilled nail artists as possible. So we are delighted to receive nail designs that we can consider for publication.

If you work is published, you will receive six copies of the magazine so that you have a copy for your portfolio, can frame your article and put it on your salon wall and still have copies to give to your photographer, model or friends.

Our standards are very high, but we are very interested to receive design articles or step-by-steps that are suitable for beginners, those with medium skill or for nail techs who have advanced skills.

Guidelines
The design, technique and photo's have to be high quality and appealing. As ImagiNAILtion is a product-neutral and education magazine, we can't accept any images that show manufacturers logo's or products that are clearly recognisable.

When submitting designs for consideration, we require the following please:

  1. One high quality and interesting photograph of the nail design on one or two hands. Nails should be photographed flat to the camera so all sides can be clearly seen. If including the models face or some other object, remember the nails are the main focus point and the designs have to be clearly seen.
  2. Preferably eight step-by-step photographs of one finger, pointing from top to bottom. The background should be white and not contain shadow (take the photograph of the finger raised 10 to 20 cm above the background material to reduce shadow).
  3. Eight step descriptions, try to keep these under 20 words. Think like a reader so that you describe each step clearly.
  4. Your details to publish: a 80 to 100 word overview of your experience, education and competition successes, your name and company name, your website address.

Interested?

The first step is to email us a copy of the main photograph that shows the completed design.

Thank you!
