About UsWho's Behind It?The people behind the ImagiNAILtion nail art and design magazine are Iryna and Bob Giblett. During the last 18 months, this dynamic duo have been awarded nine front covers on international nail magazines and Iryna's designs have been published in 14 articles in six countries - a remarkable achievement. Iryna is a nail technician for more than 10 years, international competition judge, global educator, owner of Iryna Giblett Inc. and the joint editor and publisher of ImagiNAILtion with her husband Bob. Iryna has also competed and been placed in several national and international competitions, the most recent being second place in the 3D nail art category at IBS Las Vegas in June 2009. Bob is not a nail technician, but his nail photographs have appeared on several front covers and his articles published in international nail magazines. Iryna and Bob sponsor the Moldovian national nail championships whose winners compete for the World Cup in Düsseldorf Germany. Why are they Doing it?Passionate about nail art and the nail industry, Iryna and Bob have created ImagiNAILtion nail art and design magazine with the objective to both "Educate and Inspire". Our other objective is to showcase as many talented nail techs as possible. Unfortunately, while there are many expert nail techs and artists worldwide it's difficult for them to have their work published in traditional magazines which serve a broader market, so we would like to use ImagiNAILtion to give them their 'voice'. Who Else is Involved?We've recruited some of our friends, elite nail artists and competition winners from Canada, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, UK and the USA to help us get the ball rolling! So we already have an incredible pool of talent and this is increasing week by week as ImagiNAILtion nail art and design magazine becomes widely known. What Subjects will be Covered?The main catagories of nail art which includes acrylic flat and 3d design, colored gel design, hand-painted nail art, embedded design, mixed-media and fantasy nail art. We will also provide articles on nail design excellence such as new nail shapes, how to achieve perfect salon nails and entering competitions. What Innovations has ImagiNAILtion Created?Each step-by-step will be color coded by the skill level required: Beginner, Medium and Advanced. This means a nail tech who is developing their skills can work on a suitable level and then move up to the next level when they are ready. So keep those magazines, you're going to keep using them! ;-) Another innovation is the use of "video steps". Some techniques are very difficult to describe in text (for example how to make a perfect and fine detailed acrylic rose), so we will record these steps using video so that customers of the printed magazine can watch these video steps online. This will give us a lot of flexibility to show complex designs in the future. ImagiNAILtion is already the first global nail magazine! We aren't limited by national boundaries and we will soon introduce the magazine in different languages! Finally, we are the first nail magazine to offer their reader the magazine in an electronic download format and at a very low price. We know many readers love the look and feel of their own personal printed magazine and the possibility to read this anywhere - on the bus or over a coffee. But if we are to best serve you we also need to offer choices. The simple fact is that we are in the middle of a very hard economic situation and we need to be sensitive to those nail techs who live in areas all over the world that have been hardest affected. So we are also the first nail magazine to offer an electronic "low-cost" download version of the magazine. This can be read on your computer for only $9.95.
